Enlightened Solutions alumni act as a valuable resource for our incoming clients, so those new to recovery feel welcome and confident that they can achieve success in our programs. Our alumni also go out into the world and share the important recovery techniques they’ve learned. They spread our model of sustainable sobriety and mental health management with those they encounter in sober living, support groups or other outlets.

We are proud of each of our alumni and their achievements. But more importantly, we know the power of maintaining a strong alumni network. In our programs, we encourage participants to bond with one another and create lasting friendships to support each other even outside of our doors. With our alumni programming, we allow individuals to reunite, check in with one another and share their successes or pitfalls within a community that knows what they have been through. And, we do this in a way that brings our alumni together with our current clients to showcase the victories they can attain in their own future.

As we began building our alumni program and thought about the best way to share our successes with our clients, we came to an important conclusion — what better way to demonstrate the victories we have experienced than with firsthand success stories? We now regularly organize alumni events and activities, and we focus on making them engaging and FUN! These events typically include a band and live music, as well as a freshly prepared organic dinner. The entertainment is accompanied by a few alumni giving talks to share their stories and show the new clients that RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE!

If you are interested in learning more about our alumni programming and attending, volunteering at or participating in our community-building efforts, feel free to contact us. Our staff can give you an up-to-date calendar of events and let you know if we are looking for helpers, attendees or speakers.

We invite you to keep in touch and to let us know how you are doing; if you are feeling proud of how far you’ve come since you entered treatment at Enlightened Solutions, we want to hear from you. We invite alumni to talk about their successes at each alumni event, and we would love to have you if you want to share your story. You may also want to simply attend an event to stay in contact with other alumni or to visit with our staff. Our alumni events are the ideal opportunity to check in with your peers and get an extra boost of encouragement and support from a recovery-minded community.

Not only do these get-togethers provide an uplifting look at what our clients’ lives can be like after recovery, but they are also exciting days full of engaging activities and community-building fun. These events are a great way for our clients — especially new clients — to see that a sober life can be joyful and that they don’t need to use substances like drugs or alcohol to have a good time. It’s also an opportunity to talk to new people from a variety of walks of life, and to build some of the social skills that our programs strive to impart. Every event is a celebration of the opportunities and possibilities that await our clients as they move through and graduate from our programs, and it’s important to us to build client confidence and inspire hope for a better, sober life.

Families come together in recovery at Enlightened Solutions, and our alumni can offer support and help them to understand what it feels like for other families to work through addiction and recovery together. We are dedicated to establishing strong support networks for our clients, and families (whether blood relatives or close friends) can be an integral piece of this. Involving them in recovery and in the successes of a sober life are important to make sure everyone knows their place in the process. By participating in alumni events, families can see how important this role is — not only in their own experiences but in the experiences of others as well.

We deeply value community among current clients and among everyone who passes through our care, because we want to share our stories and our voices can be louder together. When we form a community, our whole becomes more than the sum of our parts — the positivity and love compound upon themselves when we are together, and leave each of us feeling more fulfilled than we could ever achieve on our own.

Our alumni programs and events are designed to be a hub for sharing and spreading all the good things that come with sobriety and recovery. Together, we celebrate ourselves and each other and create a platform for showcasing the successes our programs can provide.
